Private Bank of BoA names market exec for Georgia

Glen Romm moves from high-end retail to statewide private-banking business. Bank of America has appointed Glen Romm as private-banking market executive for Georgia. That puts him in charge of delivering integrated wealth-management services to the state's high-net worth individuals and families. He reports to James Gallagher, president of Bank of America's private bank's southern region.

Romm "is a proven leader who will be able to leverage his strong local partnerships and broad knowledge of Bank of America in working with Private Bank clients throughout Georgia to achieve their long-term wealth management goals," says Gallagher.

A 20-year Bank of America veteran, Romm will lead Bank of America's private-banking teams in Atlanta - a city with one of the fastest growing millionaire populations in the U.S. - as well as Macon, Ga., and Savannah, Ga.

Prior to taking his new position with the private bank, Romm was head of Bank of America's high-end retail banking and investment business in Atlanta.

The Private Bank of Bank of America has 140 offices in the U.S. It had $166 billion in assets under management on 31 March 2006. -FWR
